Reading Group on “Histories of Medical Incarceration” with Professor Alberto Ortiz-Díaz

Our first reading group will be held over Zoom on Monday, November 7th 4-5:30 pm with Professor Alberto Ortiz Díaz on the theme of “Histories of Medical Incarceration.” Guests can register to join the Zoom meeting ahead of the event and will be emailed the readings for discussion upon registration.

Alberto Ortiz Díaz is assistant professor of history at the University of Texas, Arlington, and currently a Larson Fellow at the Kluge Center, Library of Congress. His first book, Raising the Living Dead: Rehabilitative Corrections in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, is forthcoming with the University of Chicago Press in March 2023.
